South Residences was acquired during the construction phase as an investment property intended for resale. My involvement therefore began long before seeing the finished apartment, from reviewing the plans and making material and finish selections during construction through to completion and, ultimately, the sale of the property.
The aim was to make choices that complemented the contemporary architecture while reflecting the Mediterranean surroundings of Costa del Sol. Light stone surfaces, warm natural wood and a restrained colour palette create a timeless foundation, with the interiors flowing naturally into the outdoor living spaces.
South Residences was always intended for resale after completion and was never used as a personal residence. The project moved quickly from material selections to completion and sale.
Creating a Hotel-Inspired Master Suite
One of the most distinctive spaces is the master suite, where the bedroom, dressing and bathroom areas and a freestanding bathtub form an open, hotel-inspired environment.
Expansive glass surfaces bring natural light into the apartment and connect the interior with the large terrace. Its organic shape, olive tree and private water feature form an integral part of the architecture and the Mediterranean lifestyle of the property.
